In February, a home was selling on average for 21 days. In September, that’s gone out to 35 days. That means that life is a little different for sellers right now. As always pricing your home properly and presenting it well are important.
One thing that you need to consider is flexibility with showings. You’ve got a family and you’ve got things that are going on in your lives but the more available your home is to showings, the better the chance of attracting a buyer quickly.
The other thing is to be show ready. You need to be prepared to have your home in show-ready condition all the time. Always keep it neat and tidy.
The other thing is when you get an offer, you have to expect conditions. The days of no financing conditions and no home inspection conditions are really over so buyers are putting conditions in their offer so you need to be prepared for that. There may be even a condition that the buyer has to sell their own property. And your REALTORS® will guide you through that.
