What have you fixed with duct tape? đ§°
Lorna grew up with a dad who believed there wasn't anything that couldn't be fixed with duct tape. He used it to mend his slippers, fix a hole in the wall, and wrap Christmas presents! Check out our article about 16 uses for the mother of all tapes.
The leaves are falling - are home prices?đ
We talk to so many folks who are "holding out for a better market" before they buy. Last week, over 50 homes sold. On average, sold prices were 2.6% below the asking price and some buyers negotiated some serious bargains. Our advice to buyers - if you see a house you like, make an offer - Let us do the research to help you determine the fair market value of the home. What are your thoughts on the current real estate market?
The fall market has started! đ
We have been having a little bit of vacation envy. Many of our friends are traveling in Paris, Italy, etc. For the next few weeks, we are sharing very cool virtual tours of some of the world's best museums - this week is the Louvre. Imagine, you can travel without fear of losing your luggage (yes, Lorna is still waiting for her bas to return from Scotland!).

Though there are 3 weeks left of summer, there is a definite feeling of fall in the air. What's your favourite thing to do in September - apple picking, drives in the country, or wine tours?
Traditionally, the local real estate market picks up after Labour Day. The Bank of Canada has another rate announcement scheduled for Wednesday. We are on the edge of our seats, waiting to see if rates will go up again. We will update you next week!
