Amherstview

With a population of 7,959, Amherstview is the largest community in Loyalist Township, which is a part of Lennox & Addington County. The township’s mayor is Jim Hegadorn. Amherstview makes up most of the voters of Ward 3 (Ernestown) with 3 seats on council consisting of the mayor, deputy mayor, and 5 ward councillors.  Amherstview borders the west end of the city of Kingston, and therefore has access to Kingston Transit throughout the community.
